Birbal used one coin to settle two debts by folding fairness, not metal.

A shopkeeper and a porter fought over a dropped rupee, each insisting it was his. Birbal bought sweets with the coin and divided them between the men according to their honesty in the quarrel, then claimed the emperor would settle the shop’s bill at day’s end. Both debts were cleared with one coin and two lessons.
